Dark Moon in Taurus

Come together to celebrate Sisterhood with this Women’s only spiritual experience. Remember a piece of the feminine mysteries, and embrace the sacredness of gathering in a community of other womb-keepers each moon. Though we may no longer be able to spend our bleeding phase in the retreat and seclusion of the Red Tent, we can still honor the call from within to empower ourselves with the company, stories, mentorship, and support of other divine women in our community today.

Each moon circle is lovingly planned and prepared to align with the celestial void wherein Lady Luna rises and sets with Sol, leaving the night clear and dark and waiting for us to plant our seeds of intention. As the moon waxes toward fullness, so too may our intentions rise like so many tender seedlings to greet the day. Each moon is unique in that She finds herself under the watchful eyes of a new constellation along the band of the Zodiac. When She reaches fullness twice in succession within the same constellation, that is known as a Blue Moon. When She is dark for a second time in a single constellation, that is known as a Black Moon. Each constellation has different correspondences, energies under its domain, activities it finds most suitable, and opportunities for healing. As such, each moon is subtly tailored to reflect the astrological correspondences of the time. We incorporate music, art, meditation, crafting, and various ceremonial tools to achieve within the microcosm of ourselves and the ritual circle that which is reflected in the macrocosm of the heavens above.

The feminine way isn’t a straight line, it is a spiral. It is ever winding back to where it began, only to view the same experience from an elevated perspective. At the completion of one wheel of the year, another begins just as unique as the one that preceded it. Start these at any time, attend as many as you are called. You do not need to adhere to any particular tradition of beliefs in order to find a sense of belonging here. You are welcome to follow along as led and only participate as far as you feel comfortable to do so. We operate under an umbrella belief in “Nature is good. Nature is very, very good”, mutual respect for one another, and pagan traditions old and new.

Taurus is a sensual, nurturing, community driven, industrious, headstrong, and fixed energy. It is the essence of work hard, play hard. Taurus is the wisdom, beauty, and magic of the Garden of Eden, and the immortal work ethic of it’s groundskeeper. When we gather together outdoors to honor the seeds which are sprouting in the gardens that are our lives, we pay offering and homage to the Great Green Goddess. We remember that growth, while at times painful and challenging, is unfolding in exactly right timing. We return to the tutelage of the original Hierophant - The Great Teacher - Mother Earth. We are nourished by the company of our peers in this Heroine’s Journey we are walking in parallel with other brave souls. Weather permitting we will be filling our cup with a spring garden walk and bonfire. We will be indulging in some seasonal treats, and as always you will not be leaving empty handed.

Dress in comfortable attire, or embrace the opportunity to dress in your Wyrdest most witchy outfit. It is recommended that you bring a journal and pen.
