Immersive Tarot
Dive deeply into the Esoteric Art of Divination known as Cartomancy, and learn the comprehensive system embedded in the traditional 78 cards of the Tarot. Join in as we break down, step by step, each aspect of the deck. We will build on each module, culminating in a thorough understanding of the cards, their meanings, and how to interpret them. When you complete this course, you will have a solid foundation in the hidden wisdom woven into the symbolism of each card. You will have had the opportunity to grow in your confidence as a reader, have your questions answered, and know where to go for further research and study to deepen and expand your skills in the future.
In module one, we begin by weaving a network of interconnected correspondences which will show themselves repeatedly throughout the deck. You are provided a comprehensive yet concise reference guide which introduces concepts of Astrology, Numerology, Elements, Polarity, and Modes. There are detailed assignments listed for further study which will help you to create or develop a working understanding and relationship with these systems, as well as a resource list for advanced and continuing research. Module 1 includes a 1hr+ video lecture, wherein we discuss considerations when purchasing a deck, which decks are suitable to learn from and which make better study after a foundational understanding has been laid, cleansing and keeping your deck, trusting your intuition and rejecting imposter syndrome, some myths and misconceptions, and the outline of the course.
Module 2 is a deep dive into The Greater Mysteries, or Major Arcana of the Tarot. The structure is the same as Module 1, with an extended 2+ hour video lecture due to the comprehensive nature of the material covered.
Module 3 -6 will cover each individual suit of the Minor Arcana in detail and we will finish up with Module 7 covering Reversals, Spreads, and reading for others.
Each module contains not only the written information, custom designed assignments, and video lecture, but also an online Tarot and Tea session where we can have a lively discussion of the module’s material and address all your questions directly, live and in real time. Individualized support is provided throughout the course to help further you along your journey, wherever you may be at.
The course is suitable for beginning to intermediate skill levels. Course text is Seventy-Eight Degrees of Wisdom by Rachel Pollack. You will need your own Tarot pack, preferably one based on the Rider-Waite system, whether designed by Pamela Coleman Smith or otherwise. If you are not using a deck based on the RWS system, it may still be consistent with the system of correspondences in this course, but I cannot tell you for sure without discussing the deck in question specifically with you.
